Driggs, ID, and Jackson, WY, are nearly at the same elevation, around 6200 ft. In between lies 8400 ft.Teton Pass, making our driving time about 45 minutes. It wasn’t long before we enjoyed some beautiful views of the Tetons from Jackson Hole, like this one with the Snake River in the foreground:


The Snake seemed to be a peaceful-flowing river, perfect for canoeing or kayaking. This photo was taken near the Snake’s Oxbow Bend:


Our faithful steed parked beside Jackson Lake:

This is a natural lake that was enlarged by the 1910 construction of the Jackson Lake Dam.

As you can tell from the photos, the sky was not a perfect blue but, at least, it was clear with quite pleasant temperatures.
