Having traversed the highways between Rochelle, IL, and home many times, our trusty little Canon will probably now get some rest. In that case, these pages will be filled with photos taken earlier in the trip that have not yet been posted.

Today is one such day and the topic for this Thursday is
“Places That Deserve a Second View”.

Certainly, Deadwood in South Dakota's Black Hills qualifies for another view. So, go ahead, take two!


No one in their right mind would try to describe the Badlands of South Dakota with a single photograph. Well, we're not balmy! As proof, here’s photo #2:


An outside shot of the Cathedral of St. Paul does little to convey what’s inside. An interior photo, however, might help a lot:


And, finally, a second shot of the relocated Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis is needed to appreciate its new neighborhood:

Now, you may understand how one of the peepholes on that jutting walkway might focus on a sign that reads, “Gold Medal Flour”.

Family visit complete, come tomorrow, we’re on the road again and getting close to home!
