Ambitious travelers that we are, we’ve planned a lengthy trip.
Here’s a map of our anticipated route to put it in perspective.
The Prius is a tight squeeze because our folding bikes take up nearly all the space behind the rear seats. However, this arrangement worked for us on our May “test drive” to Illinois, so, we’re confident it will work again.
Eight hours of travel today --- mostly on expressways --- brought us to Jackson in southern Michigan, 425 miles from home. We intend to rest up here two nights to recover from this grueling pace : ) After dinner, a stop at Jackson’s Cascade Falls, operating since 1932:
And that’s about all the daylight we had as the sun set over Jackson --- and us.
