It may not seem very special from the outside but the Medina Entertainment Center near Minneapolis has almost everything a dancer would want. Beginning with a huge, floating dance floor, it also has frequent dances of various kinds, weekly dance lessons and a very nice restaurant. (In addition, it has concerts, karaoke, name entertainment, a 12 lane bowling alley, pool tables and arcade games.)
The ballroom has atmosphere, too, as you can judge for yourself by this photo taken in early afternoon as the band warmed up:
With the festive lighting, it was easy to forget this was an AFTERNOON dance. We shared a pleasant three hours of dancing in the company of friends, Duane and Elaine, who reside nearby.
Tomorrow, we'll begin our first-time visit to Minneapolis, Bloomington and St. Paul. As for today, getting ourselves to Medina, enjoying the dance and then driving to our hotel was a full load. To round out this webpage, here are photos never-before-seen that were taken on the climb up Beartooth Pass in northwestern Wyoming, one of our favorite spots.
