Time to say goodbye to Spokane, although weve left a lot of sightseeing undone. Well simply have to come back again to enjoy what weve missed. Were off to Lewiston, ID, via Hwy 195, with a drive through the Washington State University campus at Pullam, then south from Moscow, ID. Heres the reason were not doing any outdoor stuff today:
Even with A/C, driving south in temperatures like this is not comfortable. However, its only a one-day thing, according to the weather experts. Any readers will have to be satisfied with out-the-window shots of the countryside taken at a high speed setting, ie, 60 mph. Well, you dont think Id actually venture outside the car in this heat, do you?
Reaching Lewiston, we met up with my sister Rosemary and had dinner together at an interesting restaurant called the Tomato Bros. Not just a funny name, it has good food, too. Tomorrow, after more visiting with Rose, well head farther down the road in the direction of Boise.
