Family Matters
-
It does indeed. Thats why we packed in as many family visits as possible in addition to those in California. We missed a few but did our best. Hardly out of the Golden State, we took a respite in Flagstaff to catch up with Pattys daughter, Tricia, and her menfolk:
In a hard-fought volleyball match, we witnessed Tricia and Derrick trouncing the opposition --- or, wait now, was it the other way round??
All of us enjoyed a walk in the sun at Flagstaffs Buffalo Park. What a wonderful community asset that is!
While #1 son Clint and parents were tied up at his schools Open House, Jackson kept us entertained outside in the kindergarten playground:
Albuquerque was a bit out of the way but well worth the diversion to see my sister Theresa and husband Ted at home. Our last get-together was far too long ago.
Finally, in Leavenworth KS we were pleased to see my sister Julie and her family again. Mel, Tom and Julie were joined by son Randy and his wife Lara the next day:
Best of all, we were just in time for Julies birthday celebration assisted by granddaughter Lena. What better way to wrap up a cross-country trip than that?
